The art of letting go

Home/Blog/Article

There are days when the body speaks louder than the mind. Pain in the back, tension in the shoulders, stiffness in the neck. Often we don't realize it, but we carry more than we can handle. And when that happens, a deep tissue massage emerges as a powerful tool to restore balance.

Accumulated tension, a body on alert

Daily life, stress, poor posture, a sedentary lifestyle or excessive screen time create muscle knots that build up silently. The body enters a state of permanent alert that we often don't notice... until the pain arrives.

What does a deep tissue massage do?

Unlike a relaxation massage, a deep tissue massage targets specific areas of tension with deep, precise techniques. Pressure, friction and stretching maneuvers are applied to release muscle knots, restore mobility and decompress rigid areas.

Neck, back, shoulders and lower back tend to be the most commonly treated areas, but each session is tailored to the individual needs of each person.

Does it hurt or does it relieve?

This is one of the most common questions. And the answer is: it shouldn't hurt. There may be moments of intense pressure or some sensitivity in knotted areas, but a good deep tissue massage never aims to cause pain. On the contrary: it aims to release, relieve and restore physical well-being.

Benefits you can feel

After a session, many people experience an immediate sense of lightness. Posture improves, breathing expands, muscle pain decreases and a general feeling of well-being emerges. In some cases, stored emotions surface too: when the body is freed, the mind is freed as well.

A massage that listens to the body

At Lotus Masajes, we understand deep tissue massage as a craft. We listen to what the body says through its tensions, and we adapt each session to the physical and emotional state of each visitor. There are no fixed formulas: just presence, sensitivity and technique at the service of your well-being.

If you feel like you're carrying more than you should, maybe it's time to let go. To loosen up. To allow yourself to find your center again. And for that, we're here.
